“Bloom”. This classic beauty is inspired by the magnificent floral blooms of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and my love of embellishing deer’s horns. The dark dramatic background is referencing the art of Caravaggio, with his dramatic use of light and dark.
The deer lays in a field of rich, colourful flowers, gradually he absorbs the flowers and they sprout from his horns, finally displaying a full bouquet of sensual and colourful blooms.
